These terms and conditions apply when purchasing or downloading a product from FameThemes and may be amended from time to time.
General Usage
The source code for our products is 100% GPL. Which in plain English means that you can do whatever you want with it, you own it and is for lifetime, however you only get support and updates for 1 years and if you need to extend it, you will need to renew. Each theme will receive automatic updates for as long as the theme license key remains valid and the theme is installed and active.
Registration
You may visit our Site without registering. However, in order to buy any of our themes or products you will be required to register for an account. When creating an account we will collect your name and email. If you decide to purchase any of our products, you will also be required to submit your PayPal or credit card information to our third party payment processors. We may also ask you for additional information if necessary. You agree to be contacted, receive product updates via email by FameThemes, and third parties if relevant, regarding FameThemes’ services;
License
The CSS, HTML, PHP, design and any other elements of the themes and plugins downloaded from FameThemes are released under the GNU General Public License v2 or later. They are in total compliance with standards of that license as well as with WordPress. Our products are not compatible with the WordPress.com blogging community. They are developed for individual installations of the WordPress platform obtained from WordPress.org.
Price Changes
FameThemes reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify price of the FameThemes membership and FameThemes themes. Such notice may be provided at any time by posting the changes to the FameThemes website and we will also send the notice email to all members.
Support and Updates
Each purchase (license) grants you access to FameThemes’s support service, which covers help with setting up your product and direction on how to use the product as advertised. FameThemes’s support service does not cover help with theme or plugin customization beyond the advertised features. Also each purchase (license) grants you access to product updates meant to keep it secure and working with the latest developments of the platforms it is based on (i.e. WordPress).
This support service and access to product updates are valid for one year from the date of your purchase. You can extend this period by a further year by renewing your license at a 25% discount. We’ll send you a reminder when it’s time to renew. If your license has expired and you wish to enjoy support and updates, you will need to renew it at the full advertised price of the product.
Refund Policy
We offer refunds to any unsatisfied customer up to 15 days after the date the purchase was made, no questions asked. If you would like your money back, simply send us an email at [email protected] and provide your order details. Please note that it may take some time to receive the funds back, due to processing delays. Please note that by purchasing a product, you agree to the terms of the Refund Policy.
Ownership
You may not claim intellectual or exclusive ownership to any of our products, modified or unmodified. All products are property of FameThemes. Our products are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. In no event shall our juridical person be liable for any damages including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages or other losses arising out of the use of or inability to use our products.
Theme Compatibility
Currently our themes are designed to function properly with WordPress 4.3 and higher. It is our job to make sure the themes are up to date with the latest versions of WordPress. We cannot guarantee they will work properly on older installations of WordPress. We cannot guarantee the compatibility of our themes with all third party software and plugins. If a conflict does arise, we will do our best resolve the situation. We also cannot guarantee the themes will function correctly after modification to the code, or a failure to install the theme or WordPress properly.
Acceptance
By purchasing our product(s) you indicate that you have read and agree the Terms & Conditions detailed on this page. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to our website or the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms and Conditions constitutes acceptance of those changes.
